About Us
The company was founded in the 1960s by Mr. Roland Zimmer as a sole proprietorship (e.K.) and was originally headquartered in Bad Kreuznach.
In 2003, the business was taken over by Dietmar Skupien and his son, Dominik Skupien. They continued operations under the name Kunststoffwerk Zimmer GmbH. In 2004, the company moved to Andernach, to the halls near the Rennweg sports center.
Dominik Skupien remains the managing director to this day. In 2015, senior partner Dietmar Skupien handed over his responsibilities to his daughter, Alexandra Nietsch.
In 2016, the rented halls on Rennweg became too small, so the company began construction of a new building in the Andernach industrial park „Am weißen Haus“ on a 10,000 sqm site, which was completed in 2017 with 3 production and storage halls plus an office building.
The company is family-run, with the third generation already actively involved.
